2. Scope & Customers
These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed via Halafood.eu.
If you are a consumer (buying for private use), any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in your country of residence remain unaffected.
3. Product Information & Availability

Accuracy: We strive to keep product information and descriptions accurate and up to date. Product images are for illustrative purposes only and actual products may differ slightly in appearance, packaging, or size.

Variations / tolerance: Due to production and packaging, minor deviations may occur (e.g., weight, dimensions, filling quantity). A tolerance of up to 5% is permissible.

Availability: All products shown on the website are subject to availability. If items in your order are not deliverable, we will inform you promptly.

Substitutions: We do not replace items without your agreement, unless you have explicitly chosen/accepted substitutions during checkout. If you do not accept a proposed substitute, the unavailable item will be refunded.
4. Orders & Contract Conclusion

Order placement: By submitting an order on Halafood.eu, you make a binding offer to purchase the items in your cart.

Acceptance: We reserve the right to accept or reject your order.

Contract conclusion: The purchase contract is concluded when we confirm acceptance of your order (e.g., via order confirmation email, dispatch confirmation, or by shipping the goods).

Important notice: Refused or uncollected parcels do not count as a withdrawal. Any shipping and return shipping costs resulting from this may be deducted from the refundable amount.
5. Prices, Shipping & Delivery

Prices: The prices shown at checkout apply at the time of purchase.

Shipping costs: Shipping costs depend on destination and the weight/volume of the order. The exact shipping costs will be shown before you complete your purchase.

Delivery times: We aim to deliver within the estimated timeframe shown at checkout; however, delivery times may vary due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., carrier delays, peak seasons, customs checks, weather, or operational disruptions).

Notice regarding refused or uncollected parcels: Please note that additional costs may arise if parcels are refused or not collected. In such cases, we will refund the value of the goods minus the shipping and return shipping costs incurred.
6. Refused Acceptance / Uncollected Parcels
If a parcel is refused by the customer or not collected within the time limit set by the shipping provider and is returned to us, this does not constitute the exercise of the statutory right of withdrawal.
In such cases, we reserve the right to deduct the original shipping costs and the return shipping costs (including any carrier return fees) from the refundable value of the goods.
There is no entitlement to a refund of shipping costs in these cases.
7. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers) & Exceptions
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases.
Important exceptions (especially relevant for food and hygiene items): The right of withdrawal may not apply, in particular, to:

Perishable goods or goods likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly; and

Sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if the seal has been removed after delivery.
If a withdrawal right applies and you exercise it properly, you may be required to bear the direct costs of returning goods where this has been communicated to you in advance.
8. Returns, Complaints & Customer Responsibilities
8.1 Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive damaged or defective items, please contact our customer service within 5 days of delivery and provide:

a detailed description of the issue; and

photographic evidence.
Depending on the case, we may (at our discretion) provide a replacement, partial refund, store credit, or refund. We reserve the right to request the return of the item before a refund or replacement is issued.
8.2 Incorrect Items
If you receive an incorrect item, please report it within 5 days of delivery. We will provide an appropriate solution. If a return is required, the item must be unopened and in its original condition, unless the issue could not be discovered without opening.
8.3 Unwanted Items
Due to the nature of many of our products (especially food), we generally do not offer refunds for unwanted items. Please check your order carefully before completing it.
8.4 Refusal of Returns
We reserve the right to refuse returns or claims if:

the reporting deadline has passed;

the item is returned in an unacceptable condition; or
-
the issue is caused by misuse, improper storage/handling, or damage after delivery.
8.5 Incorrect or Incomplete Address
We accept no liability for delivery failures, delays, or losses caused by an incorrect or incomplete delivery address provided by the customer.
9. Refund Process
If a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original payment method within 10–15 business days (depending on the payment provider/bank processing times).

For consumers, jurisdiction is determined by mandatory legal rules; nothing in these Terms limits your right to bring claims in the courts that are legally available to you.
